Radio froze - 2015 EX
Alas, LX owner here. I do much prefer the "knob" radio over the touchscreen but I too have had my LX radio freeze on two occasions. That is just two occasions and owning my car over a year (driving almost daily) so I guess that isn't TOO terrible. I just hope it isn't a problem that becomes worse over time. I was able to fix it simply by shutting the car off, and turning it back on immediately. It seems to happen when connecting to bluetooth, or hanging up the phone from bluetooth. The both times it happened to me anyway.
That is the only reason that I am jealous of the LX model (well, that and the aux port). The first time it happened, it was parked in the garage in the fall and it was probably 60 degrees or so, and restarting my car didn't fix the problem. But I always park my car in the garage, so idk why it's getting so hot (if that is the problem). The second time was on my way home from work one night and it just wasn't changing sources, but it wasn't super hot either.

I don't understand all of the hostility about not having a volume knob. I have always used the steering wheel controls and still would even it it had a knob.
LOL, that's how I feel about it too. I think I've used the knob to turn down the volume a handful of times and first instinct is to use the steering wheel controls.
When mine froze, I was taking the car on a short drive after washing it to dry out the brakes. I'd left my cell phone in the house. When I first started the car, the head unit connected with the phone via Bluetooth, since it was still in range. Of course, I soon drove out of range of the phone, and that's when I noticed the head unit wouldn't respond to any inputs from me.
I wonder if it could be related to the loss of cell signal from my cell phone.

Always used steering wheel controls on many vehicles. Just easier. The reviewers really get hung up on this. I didn't hear a peep about the lack of an aux input from any of them, but the volume knob...everyone has their panties in a bunch over this (reviewers)
