Axxess ASWC-01
Axxess ASWC-01
Trying to install this either through their HDCC-02 (back up and lanewatch camera retention), or by itself and I just can't seem to get it programmed.
I've updated the firmware and tried to force it to read my Kenwood HU.
I've contacted Crutchfield and Axxess and they both refer me to the confusing wiring diagrams.
Any tips?

You need to hardwire the ASWC, the prewire that is on the HDCC is wrong. The ASWC only need to connect 3 wires and you need the vehicle specific instructions depending on your fit model the bluetooth wire is different from the 5in screen.and 7in screen here is the link to the instructions good luck

i believe for the bluetooth to work you have to manually program the aswc to learn the Bluetooth button.
So I tried manually programming the ASWC. Funny thing is that it registers the 3 Bluetooth buttons, but doesn't use them.
I purchased a PAC RP4-HD11 steering wheel adapter. Right off the bat, the 3 Bluetooth buttons worked. When there's an incoming call, I can use the top "answer" button and it works perfectly.
None of the buttons will work for hang up (not a big deal as it saves me from accidentally hanging up). And the talk button works too.
I somehow managed to get this to work with the Axxess HDCC-02 Wiring Interface to retain lanewatch and reverse camera.
The problem started when I couldn't keep the PAC unit or headunit powered on in accessory mode. It will stay on in ignition mode. A call to PAC audio revealed that I may have a defective unit, so an exchange is underway. Shortly after that call, the PAC unit refused to respond to the volume/seek/source buttons, but the Bluetooth buttons still worked.
As with the Axxess unit, the PAC unit will not make use of the "display" or "menu" buttons.

Hi there! Just wondering how it went with trying to manually program the ASWC? Since it recognizes the 3 bluetooth buttons but doesn't use them, was it able to be programmed to use those features? Thanks!

It's been so long, once I switched to iData Maestro, no problems at all.
