Mee Boc GK5 canyon commuter build
2016 LX CVT
Purchased as a commuter to replace an 08 STI. I've had plans to mod the Fit but have always been put on the back burner, most recently to mod the family 4x4 rig. The stars have aligned so finally going to get around to it. It's pretty much stock right now, with the exception of a modded stock air intake and Speedline gravel spec wheels. My commute and spirited drive's run through local canyon's with some sections of the road being unkept, potholed, very rough aged asphalt/gravel. I'm aiming to build the car around this and plan to attend some track day's throughout the year.
Build Blueprint:
Engine plans:
Air intake: rubber flap behind front grille cut to allow for better airflow into the stock intake. Intake snorkel removed and hole plugged.
Hasport rear engine mount
No other plans besides Ktuner given CA's new exhaust rule
Possible 10th gen Civic swap in the future if Civic CVT trans or K20 Manual trans swap is doable.
Chassis plans:
This is where the majority of my mods will be. Looking for sporty OEM comfort.
Koni orange shocks on OEM springs. Retaining OEM springs given the roads i'm dealing with. May look into .9" Spoon springs.
Megan front roll center adjust
Progress RSB
Spoon FSB
Beatrush rear STB
Beatrush front STB
Beatrush rear pillar bar
Beatrush rear floor bar
Beatrush front pillowball
Spoon underpanel kit
Rolled fenders
Interior plans:
Bride or Spoon replica drivers seat
Buddy Club slider mount
Harness for track use
Exterior/Aero plans:
Spoon replica side views
No other plans for exterior mods. Looking to keep it as stock looking as possible.
Wheels:
15x7 Speedline 2118 gravel rally spec
195/55/15 Kuhmo Ecsta PS31
205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza DZ102 on order
Brake plans:
Goodridge stainless lines
EBC rotors and pads
How it's been sitting since 2016
Updates soon.....................

Welcome! Check out Beatrush as well; they have some suspension bits for the GK5.
Here's a link to their site:
https://www.beatrushusa.com/category-s/294.htm
Also, if you're looking for another option for brake lines, I was running lines from Techna-Fit. They bolted up to my GK5 without any issues and they offer the lines in an assortment of colors.
Here's their website:

Looking forward to your updates!

Welcome!
Fun plans ya got there! mind if I ask where you're sourcing the spoon replica side mirrors?
If you're not too in love with brands like progress, and spoon ... there's always Megan Racing ... I presently own their Rear Sway, and I plan to buy their Front Sway. Same goes with rigid collars, I skipped the spoon ones ,and went china brand.
If you're looking for bang for the buck big brakes... alot of members do the Integra Type R swap:
2007-2014 Honda Fit 11" big brake kit
(cheaper if you diy the "kit" of course)
You're one of the few, who looked into a ktuner, props on that decision.

Yewwww!🤙. Thanks for the info guys @USDM @evilchargerfan very helpful.
@USDM will def check Beatrush, totally forgot about them.
@evilchargerfan the R brake swap is rad. Thanks for that. Also, def not commited to any brands atm. Just on the hunt for parts that make the most sense for me. Will probably end up with some Megan pieces for sure. As for the Spoon side views, contact UA Garage on Facebook. Same place Tougemonster sourced his😊
