Good shocks to go with Swift springs

HI All!

I've been thinking about lowering my Fit. It seems like Swift springs are pretty popular and offer a reasonable ride quality with a subtle 1 inch drop. From my understanding aftermarket springs will normally wear out stock shocks quicker (please tell me your experience with this). The only shocks I've seen mentioned for the the 3rd gen Fit are Koni Orange Shocks. The only ones I've seen are for 09-14 Fit, but some say 09+, will these work on my 2018 Fit? Are they a good match for each other?

Front: 8750 1102L

OEM shocks/struts don't wear out faster with lowering springs they BLOW OUT. With the lowering springs they are not operating in their proper range of motion they were designed for. That's why they blow out the seals.

Ahh okay, I've been looking into it further. It's probably wisest to go with coilovers for that reason? They're more expensive to start but are designed to work together and I don't have to worry about replacing shocks down the road.

All shocks/struts wear out overtime.

Aftermarket coilovers generally have shorter lifespans than OEM dampers.

If the mileage on your OEM shocks is low, I'd just put the springs on them. If not, OEM replacement dampers are fine. The swifts are designed to work with OEM dampers.

I would like to use the shocks from the new Fit Sport, but it looks like they are only available with the springs as well.

Another thought... I havent revisited these, but how about the MA726 or 711? They would require a lower mounting bolt adapter sleeve the be found or machined from 1/2" and 7/16" respectively to 10mm. If the air valve faces the rear of the car and all other specs are reasonable, perhaps one of these would work?
