Installing Koni STR.T what another parts should I replace? Bushings, bearings ect??
Ive searched for hours and hours and cant find exactly what I'm looking for. Hoping someone can help me out.
I am getting ready to install the Koni STR.T (struts, shocks and lowering springs) on my 2009 Honda Fit Sport. I want to replace any other strut or suspension related parts that could even be slightly wore out while I'm doing it. My Fit only has 65k miles and has been well taken care of but I'm picky and want to do this right.
I already ordered the Koni kit along with a set of Moog swaybar end links. What else should I replace while I'm in there?
Part numbers or links would be a huge help.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you and happy new year!!

Awesome thank you!!
Does the KYB strut mounts come with everything I need for the top mount?
What about the rubbers that go on the bottom side of the coil between the strut and coil? Should I replace those too?
I don’t think I was able to track down the rubber between the strut and coil. Again, I question wether that really needs replaced. Pretty sure the top mount takes a beating and is a consumable part, sort of akin to a motor mount. Bottom rubber is just to prevent metal to metal contact and quell noise/corrosion that would otherwise occur. Unless it has disintegrated, it should be fine.

Technically I believe there is a wave washer that is not included but I question the value of replacing this vs just reusing the old one. I don’t have part number handy.

I see your point of the lower rubber coil isolator, I'm sure with only 65,000 miles it would be fine to reuse. Just thought I would replace it if I could source them.
Thanks again for all your help I really appreciate it
Yeah of course. I did the same thing pretty much: “if it’s cheap and I can find it easily, might as well replace while I’m in there”. I don’t know there is much outside of the things I listed. Bushing inserts, but they are pricey.
You probably have already come across this but a few tips:
* rear - super easy to do but pay attention to order and orientation of how everything gets sandwiched back together
* rear - there is a captured spacer that is a bitch to get off. Need to clamp and pry in a vise or just cut it off with a dremel
* front - support the rotor/hub and do not let it move when you pull the strut off. If it falls, it will likely slip out of the transmission and It is rather unpleasant trying to get it back in.
