What are the stats on this bar?

I would rather get the stiffest and lightest one for autox.

 

I'm just looking into any suspension bits that will improve handling. Thanks for the postings.

 

I don't know what the stats are yet but I would compare them to what came out for the ge and gd, and for our gk5 not having one this should help out quite a bit, and no prob kevin

 

Thats good news. I remember seeing many people having this on their GDs and GEs mods list. If I remember correctly the reviews for it were pretty positive towards making a much better driving experience.

Also waiting for Progress to make one (Rear Sway Bar).

Though Cusco already offers a 16mm solid material and not sure if it is thick enough. Though as i am reading other threads/forums, they are saying that the GK has a stiffer rear compared to the previous gens hence no need for a thicker bar.

But yeah we always wanted that bling

Ultra Racing also offers a 16 and 19mm solid bar already. Just holding off and would want to wait for a Progress bar.

 

Could you of you nice folks share some knowledge with a guy who has never done any suspension work? My GE handled like a go-cart, the GK feel disconnected. A buddy of mine suggested a sway bar...I'm different thicknesses, front/ rear....can someone please give me a quick "what should I look at"? I just want it tighter- more connected. I'm not racing/ tracking.

 

The steering feels completely different after installing coilovers. The steering wheel is much heavier and feel more connected to the steering input.

 

I ordered a progress rear sway bar, but not sure if it's fir the 15 Fit.

Ill report back when it arrives.

Is this from axion? Thinking also of ordering it and having my friend bring it here in PH. Though im quite hesitant since i still couldnt see the actual item on the progress website.

 

any update ? Anyone make a rear sway bar for the gk yet? I can't find anything...didn't spoon make one?

Just an FYI, this sway bar is great; the hardware that was included with mine was defective. The nuts would not thread onto the hex bolts. I discarded it all and picked up some 10.9 grade metric flange bolts with a smaller 14 hex. It provided more clearance under the rubber spring pad on the torsion beam. I fastened them with some serraded flange nuts and loc-tite. I figure this thing is constantly twisting, possibly working itself loose, and if it were, it could damage the spring perch in the beam. Maybe tear the mounting holes or something. Peace of mind.

Also, you'll have to remove some plastic covers over the perches. I haven't found s way to re mount them. If fact, I'm not really sure what they're for, lol.

so how exactly does a rear sway bar that is attached to a torsion bar actually do anything? I mean isn't the rear torsion bar pretty much already a big anti roll bar?

at least the installation looks easy

 

It twists with the beam, adding any inherent torsional stiffness of the sway bar to the already inherent stiffness of the beam.

It's very easy to install. 15 min.
