Wheel Setup Questions

Hey everyone! Just purchased a brand new 2016 in Black as our daily. Mod bug already hit, and gunna throw some wheels on, but it seems like most of you guys are running 15x7 or 16x7.. which is fine, but all the wheels that appeal to me are running in 8" widths, are any of you guys running into any issues with rubbing on an 8" width? this is a new world to me to mod a smaller car, other car I have is running on 20x10/10.5s lol

probably.. depends on offset and tire combo you run with the 8". im sure can make them fit, but i suggest you look for anything 6.5" to 7.5" wheels and keep the weight down as much as possible.

I have 16x7 +40 wheels and 205/50R16 tires, and the fronts will kiss the fender if I hit a big whoop-de-do.

You'd probably want -32 offset or higher and get some camber in the front

It really depends on the tire size, wheel spec in terms of width and offset, along with alignment.

From what I am seeing and understanding, the GK5 tends to clear with 205s on a 7 inch wide wheel featuring a +42mm (or numerically higher) offset.

thank you everyone for the advice.. I contacted F1R wheels to see if they will offer anything else besides 8" & ET0 Offset since they are relatively new.. otherwise maybe I'll track something else down..

okay, so shopping for other brands since they aren't planning on any different specs.. I feel like I found 4 different brands that have wheel styles I would like however they all are 8" width.

I'm most likely staying stock height for a little while and looking for a CCW Classic style in gold or TE37 style in gold. I found a set of used real TE37s locally, but they're very beat up. Anyone have any suggestions? Already looked into F1R, Avid.1, XXR...
