New Enkei RPF1

Hello,

Sorry this is my first time writing a new thread ever. I just ordered a set of RPF1 wheels. The size is 16x7 +35 and tires are 205/45/16.
Will they fit or will it have rubbing issues on the fender? I still have time to change it to +43 if you guys think its better

The car is at stock height at the moment but im planning to put it on eibach springs.

Thanks

Have same wheels. Def want +43. My setup is lowered one inch on swift springs. My tires are a little fatter at 205/50. Was getting slight rub so added .5 degrees of negative camber with bolts. With your tire selection you'll probably be okay but those eibachs drop more than my swifts. Either way go with 43 for sure.

205/50/16 is the right size. 205/45/16 is going to look weird.

Ya I personally think these wheels look best wrapped in beefy tires, but with the more aggressive drop on OP's eibachs, it might look and work okay.

The following I'm pretty sure of: 205/50s on your +43 RPF1s with eibach springs means you can count on rubbing unless you add negative camber to the font wheels using bolts. 205/45 on the other hand, maybe not.

I can't imagine how much rub there'd be with +35

How about if I get RS-R down springs would the +35 work then? the rs-r are a milder drop

The shop im buying it from said he was worries about it rubbing on the inside thats why he choose +35

Thanks for the help!

"Aggressive drop like Eibach springs"

That's not an aggressive drop.

And with a tire that's significantly too short (which a 205/45 is), even if it is significantly lower, you'll still have a bunch of wheel gap.

Ditto on everyone's advice for the +43 and 205/50, but I'm not a fan of the wheels poked way out with too small of tire look.

Here's the best way to compare...

You can play around with the numbers to see what you like better.

It's not necessarily about looking weird, but the load capacity of the tire with the shorter sidewall. Without knowing the specific tire and for sake of discussion, the 45 series tire might relegate the Fit to a two passenger car with little payload capacity.

Nope...205/45-16 was an OEM option with the HPP wheels on the GD. No problems with payload capacity. Just too small of diameter for a GK.

GD, isn’t the GK. Just because it was an option and OK before doesn’t mean it’s acceptable with the current configuration. At one level it’s not my problem. Personally I’d verify before buying tires

no.

In this instance, the only drawbacks of the 205/45 is worsened ride quality, messed up speedo, increased revs at highway speeds...AND looking super goofy.
