2018 Fit locking lug nuts

Some of the info in the archives are a few years old, but has anything changed in terms of the wheel security?

A search for Gorilla Locking nuts with the spinning sleeve only netted tapered style seats. Have they made a ball seat, spinning sleeve version that I missed? Are the new Sport trim wheels still using ball seat lugs?

There was a discussion on using adapters, but has anyone successfully used the tapered to ball seat adapters for the Gorilla Locking Nuts?

i just run the factory lower profile locks. if the sport wheel is just a black version of the EX, then it is uses ball lugs.

wheel locks only deter honest people. thieves will find a way to remove it regardless.

Agreed.

I still want to buy some time or have them think twice. I hear that the Gorilla Locks with the spinning sleeves are marginally better than the McGard/Honda branded nuts so i went ahead and ordered them with the ball seat adapter washer so it should fit. Hope to have the new secutiry system with tilt and shock sensor installed so at least its more of a deterrent. to even dishonest people.

Wheel locks are always a good idea, as it means more time someone would have to spend trying to take something not theirs. I bought a set for my girls accord wheels since they are really popular to steal.

OEM wheel style locks: Gorilla Automotive Products

These are the only OEM compatible ones I have found. Some of the run of the mill auto parts stores offer some from various brands, but it's not always clear if they're actually the ball seat.

Sorry to bump an older thread but what wheel locks (and adapters) did you end up with?
