Yo

I was able to throw the new 14" steelies / Michelin Xi3s before yesterday's snow debacle in NJ. Very dinky looking compared to the 16s, but ride is much improved in comfort and MPG. Definitely lost some of that sharp handling.

I'm going to be honest, to my eye it doesn't look 'comical.'

It just looks fine imo.

I have the same package. I like some sidewall both for aesthetics and comfort. Never been a fan of thin sidewalls. I actually like the look better than the stock 16" wheels.

But, yes, the handling is not as crisp. Part of that is due to the rubber compound being quite a bit softer, though.

I also picked up some vintage CRX center caps on eBay. They fit perfectly.

I am putting on 175/65/15 but thought about 14’s for sure.

14s are definitely more comfy. In the spring I will run the factory 16s until they wear then switch to a lightweight 15 setup for the spring/summer.

Those center caps are a great idea, too.

Yup looks good to me too. I ran 14's on my 2012, liked that look as well. Decided on 15's with alloys this winter for my (identical to yours) '18 Sport. but that was only for the weight savings...
