07 Honda Fit Sport- Bent Ally/Aluminum Rim, suggestions?
I have a 2007 Honda Fit Sport that I just purchased a week ago. I have been experiencing road noise over 40 miles per hour or higher. Had the rear hub bearings checked, they are ok, had front axles checked, no problems. I went to get the wheels rotated to see if the noise would change.
While getting that done the technician found one rim bent pretty bad. The tire holds air but I was told the road noise I'm getting could be due to the bent rim. It's more of a vibration but the steering wheel does not shimmy back and forth. After getting the rims rotated the vibration is still there.
I plan on replacing the bent rim hoping the vibration will go away but I'm not confident it will take care of the problem.
Any suggestions on how I can buy just one rim? Some boneyards where I live in CT should have one around. Just curious if anyone experienced a similar issue and how you resolved it. Thx!
