You may remember about a year ago there was a lot of discussion about the right side camera cutting out, and not working again till the car was restarted. That happened to me twice last August, and it happened again two days in a row last week.
I would signal right, and the screen would go black. Pushing in on the button to turn on the camera also results in a black screen. Only shutting off the car and restarting will get it working again.
This happened at 520 621, 11,050, and 11,115 miles.
Sounds like there may either be a software update for the audio unit or an internal fault inside of the unit.
I'm also presuming that the Lane Watch camera was never damaged or replaced before the initial and subsequent concerns occurred.
Looking back to last year, several owners had the head unit replaced, but I don't know if that was a cure. If mine had been replaced last year, I would have thought that was the cure until it malfunctioned again last week.
My son finally got his new Fit, three weeks after a deer ran into his 2019. Everything was done online, and he picked up a check from the bank through the drive-up teller. The Honda dealer just switched from closed to open showroom, so the car was delivered there.
It's a blue Fit EX, and it seems to be identical to his previous one, except for the color. The dash cam was one of the first editions. The floor mats, etc., from the 2019 will be added in a day or two. At least I don't have to drive him back and forth to work every day.
