What’s the trick to pulling axles out of transmission? Really tough to get prybar behind inner joint

I used a 12-inch pry bar from Lowes. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-Pry-...ng-Bar/4777017 It's pretty thin on the one side, so I was able to get just a corner in and pop it out.

Yea, just a circlip. Also, be prepared for a little transmission fluid to drain out too. When I recently pulled mine I had some drip/drain out, although I'm not sure if I was a little overfull, or if the car was at a tilt.
