Noisey 2007 Fit

Hi All,

I was almost home when my 2007 Fit started make a grinding/rattling type noise. The noise doesn't seem to change with RPM. I tried engaging the clutch from stop and right as the clutch starts to "grab" the rattle noise sounds and steadily gets worse. Im steering towards a clutch issue...any thoughts?

thanks

Try moving at slow speed then put it in neutral and coast a bit with the clutch out and see what that does to the sound.

Or wait until it's cooled down and check the shield on the converter by pulling and shaking and looking to see if it got bumped and is making contact. Those shields cause a lot of grief making all kinds of rattles.

Not the clutch. Did a full shake down of the car last night, sounds like its coming from the front right side. Jacked up the car spun the wheel, and a rock eventually popped out. tested ok , the sound really threw me, so much clunking and grinding. thanks for the replies.

Is it just me, or do we seem to be encountering a lot of rocks and pebbles lately?
