Great inexpensive scan tool.
Great inexpensive scan tool.
Not sponsored and not saying that you should get one but I wanted to share my success with Blue Driver OBD II Bluetooth scan tool.
For me, the problem started with a TPMS error light that was NOT telling me low tire pressure. Instead, one or more of my sensors stopped working. I hate to pay for someone else to do something that I might be able to do myself. I looked at getting a reset tool and would have spent the $120 if that tool didn't require some other expensive scan tool to make it all work on Honda's.
I spent the $100 on the Blue Driver, paired it with an old Android tablet, updated the software and firmware and found all kinds of codes. I reset them all and looked for returning codes. I got all of my TPMS sensors replaced and was able to reset the code. I also fixed some other minor issues that it found for me. Recently, it alerted me to an issue with my front airbag sensor not working right and I will be fixing that. The Blue Driver will read everything from the ODB II port and the software on my tablet is where the gold comes in. Unlike the $20 units that you could get, Blue Driver seems to keep up on the software database and this tool will even give you readings live while the motor is running.
If you are in the market for this or one like it, give this one a look. I get nothing from these guys, they don't know me at all. I just found this tool to be better than I had hoped for and wanted to pass it along.
