New Member. New Fit Owner
Hello,
Somehow I found myself owning a new-to-me 2012 Fit. I was looking for a daily-driver / winter beater and had been all over looking for something cheap - a Chevy Cobalt, Ford Focus, etc and my search kept moving up the ladder to newer and nicer vehicles. I finally settled on the Fit which only has 22,000 miles which is considerably less than I had started out expecting to find! It is almost like a new car inside and out. Anyway, I am notorious for having buyer's remorse and I spent a few days trying to find a way to return it or sell it, but I did find it was quite pleasant to drive so now it looks like I will keep it anyway.
Now I find myself browsing all the aftermarket stuff that is available for it, like the center armrest and winter wheels, etc... I suppose it is a slippery slope.
I also have a 2021 Subaru WRX with only 3000 miles on it and a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT and neither of them leave the garage in the wintertime. Illinois gets too much salt in the winter and thus the need for the daily driver. First mild day we get I am going to lift the Fit and spray everything I can with Fluid Film, so hopefully that will forestall the inevitable rust that is sure to come otherwise! I will post a picture here soon.

So I looked up the previous owner on the Google, and discovered she is a now-77 year-old lady.... Maybe that explains the low mileage? She sure didn't drive much. This car is truly like-new inside and out; even the headlights are completely clear and perfect. I even looked at her house on Google Street View, hoping to see the car, but it must've been in the garage in both views.
Anyway, here is how it looks today:
