Fuel Injector Warranty

Hello! I received a letter saying that my 2015 Fit was covered under this warranty extension--excellent news because my Fit is in fact experiencing this exact fuel injector issue right now! I've got a 4th cylinder misfire, which is triggering my check engine lights to pop on.

However, when I called my local dealership, they had no idea what warranty extension I was talking about. So I gave them my VIN to run and they said they still couldn't find any record that my fuel injectors were now covered by an extended warranty. Is anyone else covered by this warranty extension and was able to use it to have their fuel injectors fixed? Any tips for how to help my local dealer find the warranty extension and prove that I'm covered?

Thanks!

Welcome. I had my injectors replaced almost a year ago with no issues.

I'd go back to Honda corporate and ask why one of their dealers isn't participating in corporate's recall. It's not on you to make the Honda dealer play nice. Let corporate do it for you.

Dealers don't make any money on warranty work. Maybe they just don't want to bother with you and are trying to encourage you to go to another dealership. In any event bargainguy is right and you should contact Honda corporate to ask what's going on.

I agree, it's not a simple job.
Given the number of FITs on the road I can understand why they'd turn you away.

Try another dealership or call corporate. I work at a Honda dealer. We've done plenty of that very extension. They only cover it with certain symptoms, but that single cylinder misfire is one of those symptoms. You should definitely be covered.
