2015 Honda Fit EX - 163+K miles
Four lights came on last night while idling.
The Malfunction Indicator light (CEL) which stays on most of the time for the past 100K miles.
The EPS System Indicator.
The Low Tire Pressure/TPMS Indicator.
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) System Indicator.
When starting the car this morning, the TPMS light flashes steadily for about a minute then becomes solid.
The EPS light comes on after about 10 seconds.
One thing to mention, for about the past month, sometimes accelerating from a stop, the car hesitates, I think it might be worse with the A/C on.
Any ideas on what is going on? Thank you in advance!
No way to tell just from the various lights. You need the codes read first.
There are relatively inexpensive dongles that plug into your OBDII port to retrieve the codes and display them on your smartphone.
You can also have the codes read for free by major auto parts stores - AutoZone etc. They bring a phone and a dongle into the parking lot and check your codes on the spot.
Same year, similar milage. I'm having the same indicator lights coming up. When I scan mine it reads as having registered a misfire in cylinders 2 and 4. I replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils and am still getting the errors. In reading online I am seeing info about a possible warranty extension for 2015-2016 fits that have similar issues.
I've had the 4 lights come on a few different times on my 2015 Fit EX. There is a lot to my issue(s) and I don't think I'm done. I've had those lights come on a few different times in the last 10 months. Oddly enough the problem (for me anyways) goes away after a day or two.
Last week when I had the 4 lights going I had a mechanic plug it into his computer and it showed a P0341 code. Based on that code the most likely problem was some valve (sorry I cannot remember the name). I spent $460+ on replacing it last Wednesday. When I picked it up late on Thursday the mechanic said he drove it in the morning and it seemed fine with no lights. However, when I started it up to leave the lights were on again. Since I hadn't left the parking lot yet I got the mechanic out there again and again the code showed P0341.He called a friend of his who is a mechanic for a Honda dealership and he said it must be that valve. However, after telling him that valve was replaced the next most likely thing was the timing something or other needed to be replaced (can't remember what he called it). That was another $~1200. I discussed it with my mechanic and I agreed to not pursue that fix since I've been actively looking to replace my Fit.
Not sure if it is related but...on Friday, the day after I picked it up from the mechanic, I started my car and those 4 lights were all off but a new light was on. This time it was the Smart Entry System light. Thanks to this forum I saw that that light is tied to a warranty extension to address the start/stop button. So I brought that in yesterday to be replaced. When I dropped it off at the Honda dealership that Smart Entry System light was on as was the 4 other lights. When I picked the car up all 5 lights were off. I am not sure if replacing the start/stop button fixed the other lights of if they went out because of dumb luck. I also have another problem with my Fit (cruise control and throttle response). I had hoped that fixing the start/stop button would address that problem but this morning I saw the same cruise control and throttle response.
I'll drive it until I replace the Fit. Its been a good car until the last 10 months.
