Anyone Foung Spare Tires?
Anyone Foung Spare Tires?
I picked up a used '07 Fit last week. It will be a daily driver for me, used mostly on a 500 mile commute once a week.
The spare tire that came with it had obviously been quite used. In doing a little research, I can't find a replacement new spare tire for sale anywhere. I don't really want a used/pre-owned spare tire from a junkyard as they are all likely 17-18 years old now.
Any suggestions for a place to buy a new spare tire?
Thanks!

Pretty much any place that specializes in selling tires. The Honda dealer should be able to sell you one, so can Discount Tire (online or brick and mortar) and other tire stores. Dealer probably is the most expensive of the lot.
Your spare tire should show the size on the sidewall. With that information pretty much any tire shop can order a new spare for you, or you can do it yourself online.
According to this (https://sparetire.com/Honda/Fit/), the spare tire size for a 2007 is 125/70R16. There aren't a lot of options (obviously), but Tirerack.com, Walmart.com, Discounttire.com, and likely many more all carry a Continental brand spare tire in this size.
As an aside, I've always wanted to mount four spare tires on a car and have a modern-day Model T experience. Probably not safe on the highway, but it would be a good way to taunt all the stanced cars on the street.

I’m at the point of trying to find a different size that might fit the spare wheel/rim thats in the car.
I agree that there don't seem to be any 125/70R14 tires available, which makes me ask if you are sure that your spare is a 14-inch rim?
A 125/70R14 spare would be tiny, whereas the tire I suggested (based on the Googles) is basically the same diameter/circumference as the stock tire sizes for a 2007 Honda Fit.
175/65R14 = 23 inch diameter
195/55R15 = 23.4 inch diameter
205/45R16 = 23.3 inch diameter
125/70R16 = 22.9 inch diameter
125/70R14 = 20.9 inch diameter
One of those is not like the others, and wouldn't play nicely as a spare tire.

Well, I guess you learn something new each day. In this case, I have learned that the Internet can lie to me. My world is shaken. Give me a moment...
Here is the same 125/70R14 tire you have located at a shop in PA.

Here's a 115/70R14 tire. Just a bit smaller than one you have, but maybe replacing a tiny tire with a tinier tire could be acceptable to you.

A better bet might be to look for a junkyard spare tire rim from a GE8 Fit, on which you could put a new 125/70R16 (diameter 22.9 in) or 135/70R16 (diameter 23.4 in) tire which seem to be more readily available. My 2010 Fit Sport has the latter.
