Car won't start, all turn lights flashing after new battery.
Car won't start, all turn lights flashing after new battery.
My 2012 Fit decided to not start out of the blue. No starter sound, nothing. Everything else went on. Figured the battery was very low, attached a booster battery, car almost started but seemed to not have enough power. Then there was some clicking noise after the initial slow starter turns, as if the starter was trying to start but didn't have enough amperage.
So I removed the battery from the car and put it on an overnight charger. Battery never charged. Presumed the battery to be dead.
Went to Autozone and bought a new battery and installed it. Car still won't start, not a peep from the starter.
However now all the turn lights are flashing, whether the car is on or off. They don't stop flashing. This is separate from the emergency flashers. I have to disconnect the battery in order to turn them off.
So, 2 questions:
1, is the starter dead, or could it be something else?
2, why are all the turn lights constantly flashing after replacing the battery?
This car has roughly 150,000 miles on it, and was otherwise running perfectly fine, until it just decided to drop dead.
Thanks for any info on this.

Well I actually found the electrical relay device that is doing the blinking, in the fuse box cavity. Why it's active on it's own is a mystery.
Regardless, the car doesn't start with a new battery.
