looking for correct honda part number, front passenger door lock cylinder...

good afternoon to all readers,

my fit is a 2013 Honda Fit DX Canadian model. i believe that year honda had to move the fits assembly to china.
im in the process of replacing my front driver door lock cylinder with the cable. its honda part number: 72185-TF0-G01.
i have purchased it already, and will repin it when i get my pin set.

i will be removing the cylinder and redoing the pins to match our spare key since its not too worn out.
the problem is i have to repair the cylinder for the front passenger side as well. the honda dealership gave me part number
72145-TF0-003 as the replacement part for the front passenger side. it looks like this:

to me, this is missing the door lock cylinder and cylinder mounting plate. what is confusing is that the page from which i got his picture is entitled Honda
72145-TF0-003
Cylinder, Passenger Side Door. but the left picture is clearly missing the cylinder and lock mounting plate, and its next picture is the same
as the driver side door lock cylinder...

if there is a fit owner who has repaired their passenger door lock cylinder for a 2013 honda fit DX base model, please provide the correct passenger honda part number, if it exists.
the alternative repair would be to remove the original passenger side door lock cylinder, and repair the pins in that lock cylinder and reinstall; hopefully the orig cylinder will
be in good shape to allow the pins to be replaced easily.

thanx in advance,
bpong

latest update, oct 20;

just to confirm, the aforementioned part numbers of the driver and passenger side door lock assemblies are the correct ones for a 2013 Honda Fit DX, automatic, Canadian model.
the difference between the units is the mounting plate that the door cylinder is mounted to.
i have done the repair to both front driver and front passenger door lock cylinders - basically swapping the old non-functioning door cylinders with new ones. the new door cylinder assemblies were
recoded by me using a pin kit purchased from an american locksmith supply store. all repair work, and the part swap were done using reference videos from a few youtube posters.
Canadian locksmith suppliers sell the kit only to registered locksmiths... thats fine, i got my pin kit state side. if you need the name of the american locksmith supplier, just priv message me.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If your 2013 DX Canadian model (it could apply to non canadian models as well) needs to have ONLY the door cylinder assemblies swapped or repaired, please take note that you do not
need to remove the door actuator unit, and you do not need to disconnect the front window rail. Just disassemble and remove the 10mm bolt that is holding the door cylinder unit, and disconnect
its lower connection to the door actuator. once both things are done, you remove the door cylinder and its cable by carefully pulling it out towards the top of the door interior. you will have
to carefully guide the lower part of the door cylinder past the handle latch rod and window rail. Reassembly is the opposite; be sure to forcefully lock the bottom latch of the door cylinder assembly
to the door actuator input stub before reinstalling the plastic film, and inside door cover.

reference videos used:

rekeying honda high security door cylinder:

removing door side cover, getting access to door actuator and door cylinder...:

please note, some of the above videos do not specifically pertain to the 2013 honda fit, but i used them as a reference for the
interior of the inner door. the differences between models and different years is subtle and they all share some similarities.

this topic is now closed.
