Question My clutch needs help! Please advise.

So I am rather new to the new car thing, all the other cars I've owned have been '90 or older, and I just got an '08 fit a month ago and I love the car. However, I do have one issue with it, the clutch bites right at the top (not at the floor were I like it). I guess with the feeling of the new clutch I didn't care too much at time of purchase but now it is really annoying.

Does anyone know how to adjust the action of the clutch or should I be taking it to the dealership?

My 99 eclipse used to clutch from an inch off the floor, but i had the clutch replaced with a stage1 upgraded clutch and now it's like the fit. My dad's 06' xB is the same way, clutches at the top, so have most new cars I've driven. I think it's just the way they're making them now days.

Not 100% positive but there are usually adjustments behind the peddle under the dash. As i said, I am not 100% on this so if nothing else you get a free BUMP out of the deal.

g'luck

i don't think it's adjustable at all... short of physically modifying the pedal/lever assembly.
i've never seen an adjustable hydraulic clutch... only cable clutches

Have you ever driven a dub? they catch up near the roof! the Fit's isn't nearly as bad, but if you're uncomfortable with it, You should def. check with the dealership if you haven't already, and see what they have to say about it....

Short of getting an aftermarket clutch for may 100's of $$$, you're SOL.
Get used to it.

I took a quick look under the dash at the pedal set up and it looks like there are some adjustments under there but I have no idea what I am doing so it looks like the Fit is going in for a professional opinion.
Thanks guys, let me know if you learn anything new.
