Clutch question (can i tighten it up)

i wasnt so sure where to list this in the forum but im very much used to having a stiffer clutch and i actually like it that way... everytime if test drivin a fit the clutch is SOOOOOOOOO easy to push in wich for some ppl may seem nice but it feels almost flimsy to me... so im wondering is it a clutch that i could if i felt nessesary adjust (not sure hydrolic is adjustable or not) or am i stuck with the featherweight clutch....does anyone know any tricks to maybe stiffin this up?.....

thanks you

Maybe you could put a second return spring on the pedal?

You can increase the force required by installing a smaller - bore clutch master cylinder or increasing the stiffness of the pressure plate (more clamping pressure). But those are more involved, expensive options.

I have various manual-trans cars (5.0 Mustang, Lotus Esprit, CR-V, Fit) and I CAN tell you that you will get used to the lightweight clutch. I thought my Mustang's clutch was a bit heavy and the Lotus' throttle pedal stiff, but I don't even think twice about the differences in pressure now.

If you think the Fit has a light clutch try driving the Toyota Matrix.

I would think the best alternative would be a higher pressure pressure plate, something with a little more umph, but does anyone make one yet?
