Do Fit's get hit a lot or WHAT?

I have been a member of a lot of different car forums but I have never seen one with as many posts and pictures of people with their cars getting hit in accidents. WTF?

It makes me a little nervous. I am a very good driver and in 20 years of having a license I've NEVER had an accident that was my fault but I can never completely control for the other idiots on the road I guess....ugh...

So what gives? Are Fits accident-magnets or are people here just obssessed about posting thread and pics of their accidents.

I hope you are knocking on lots of wood right now...........

I think it just happened that people for some reason like posting up their accidents here. I don't think I would post up pics of my accident maybe in my pic thread just say hey I got in an accident so will be a long while before any updates or something like that.

Not sure.

Maybe they get mesmerized by their sexy looks and crash into them

It's probably an across the board thing. My 240's been hit probably around ~7 times and none of those were my fault. I wasn't even in the car.
Ppl hitting immobile objects ftl.

I think there are a lot of young people on FitFreak. I actually saw a post from someone about texting while driving. There's a reason insurance companies charge higher rates to some people than others.

I think it's mainly because it's a current trend on these forums to post a new thread after their car was hurt. Considering the fact that this place is still relatively small, I'm sure if other major forums (like s2ki, etc.) did the same thing, they would have to make a new forum subsection.

i think its all the people in SUVs jelious of our obscene gas mileage... so they hate on our Fits... its not they can rly claim they ddnt see our bright coloerd cars (in some cases) people just need to not me so dumb.... i have avoided several accidnets of people just being dumb and or arrogent... and a few thinking i want to race... cuz yes my Fit is going to beat Lincoln
MKZ... and i'm really going to try...

Just the other day I was thiiiiissss close to being T-boned by a knuckle head coming out of a intersection. Luck was on my side as I was watching him the whole time...Looked like an impatient punk...And was. I swung way wide while laying on the horn. He hit his brakes just in the nick of time.

I'm thinking the low profile of the rig is what's causing it. I think others are looking for a lager vehicle. However how in the flippin' world they can miss my MR Fit I'll never know.

LOL what you gotta do is while the light is still red.. but at the point you expect it to turn green any second, Hold the e-brake and spin your front tires for a sec and make em think your starting to go.. and watch em run the red light Hopefully a cop will see!

I had my Fit for one day before a mountain sheep decided to jump on it. Seriously. WTF?

Part of my reasoning for choosing the MR was the high-vis factor when passing other vehicles. Still, I drive it like I'm on my motorcycle- invisible- I never assume anyone around me is paying attention.

It's the parking lots I really worry about. That's why I hide behind these (sorry- bad phone pic) :

I figure by parking next to the cart return I am actually less likely to be hit by one. Also, it's further away. Most people don't want to walk that far.

I had mine backed into, but it just got a couple minor scratches, and of course no note. But, the same thing happened to my Saturn too. I don't think the Fit gets into more accidents than any other car. I mean, it might be a small car, but at the same time it pretty tall, so SUVs and the annoyingly-raised 'Bro' truck can still see it in their mirrors.
Maybe the people getting into accidents are in an age range prone to accidents.

^^^yeah, it was bizarro. I wrote about it in my noob 'Hi from Colorado' thread. Just some scuff marks, thankfully it all buffed out. Totally freak-of-nature incident.
