I haven't even done it but i can give you some obvious ones:
Pros:
1) Power. Lots and lots of power.
2) Reliability. Great motor!

Cons:
1) COST!!!!!!!
2) Weight distribution gets thrown even more out of whack
3) Tire-spinning fury-traction will be an issue.

how's the Weight distribution like?

I've found some on ebay
eBay Motors: COMPLETE K20A SWAP: MOTOR, TRANNY, ECU Type R DC5 JDM (item 290268250991 end time Oct-23-08 12:42:26 PDT)

eBay Motors: JDM 02-05 HONDA INTEGRA/RSX K20A TYPE R ENGINE LSD SWAP (item 250312004162 end time Oct-30-08 06:18:06 PDT)

JDM Type-R Engines - JHPUSA

Which one is the most suitable one?
What do i need to finish the swap?
Thanks

holy bucks batman. $5 grand? for maybe 220whp? You could performance build the fit motor and get a custom turbo kit for it for that much, and make the same power.
lol

As for weight dist., it's already front-biased, but with the k20 in there, and the appropriate trans, the distribution will get even more skewed.

That's not to say I wouldn't do it. I just wouldn't do it unless I got a hardcore hookup on the motor and trans, lol.

K24(accord/CRV) swap is more cost efective. since you need K-Pro anyways for the swap you have alot of potential for big power. K20 swap will run you roughly $8k when all is said and done. a K24 swap will run you under $5k. that leaves $3000's left for a supercharger that will put you way over a K20 swap for the same money

But with a heavier engine and a supercharger on top of that... you're pretty much only good for drag racing?

not only that, but again, with that much power, FWD is utterly useless.

IMO a 200whp Fit would be about pushing the limits of the usability of the power.

What about the J's Racing K24 GD? Is it useless?

K24 from an accord/CRV is only like 12lbs heavier than a K20A2. and has alot more torque available lower down. so it makes it much easier to drive than something with a peaky power curve.

It would be wiser to do a K20/K24 swap. Best of both worlds.

Me being an NA enthusiast, I say go for the K20A. Just my two cents...

stressing the beans out of small engine with little to no aftermarket support.....OR..swapping in a stock engine that makes more power without mods and would be very reliable...but throw off balance.

If you bought the fit to turn into a fast car, you bought the wrong car.

I agree. $15 + motor + more mods = Waste of money and time unless you're just mad baller. But if you blew your stock motor, then that's another story...

So what does the Mugen Fit have under the hood? L15? I like the idea of K20A in the Fit, and if I had $10,000 laying around I would totally get it done. No forced induction for me though. all-motor baby lol

Mugen has two Fits. One has a K20A and the other one is a supercharged L15. In my opinion supercharging is the best way to go for a daily driver. Keeps the stock powerband and fuel economy. While still providing that extra power. IMO the K20 doesnt justify its cost and hassle. Youll get 170-180whp stock.

170whp vs. 70whp lol That's like 150% power increase. I'm pretty sure I'll sacrifice 10mpg for that in a Honda Fit.
