Angry BRAKE & ABS light on after tire cable install!!

Ok so i in lake Arrowhead CA, and were getting alot snow at the moment, anyway last year i never had a problem with my tire cables. But today after installing them i drove about a hundred feet and both lights came on, i thought OH shit i took out a brake line some how, so i popped the hood checked the lines and fluid, pumped the brakes and tested them and they work 100%... So whats wrong??? Dealer says it could a sensor, but it would cost me $94 dollars to have it scanned to find out the problem is! Thing is im poor So any suggestions???:confu sed:

check the plug located on the side of the strut. they sometimes come loose and turn the light on. then unplug the battery for 2 minutes. plug the battery in and start the car. the light should turn off. make sure you have your radio code number too.

the cable may have caught on the abs sensor and broke it. its highly unlikely it will be loose, and usually brake and abs lights will reset when turning the car off, if there isnt a hard fault

well it turns out that after getting my fit out of 4ft of snow it fixed itself. I checked the sensors and there fine, my lights turned off.. so my best guess is that when your ABS sensors get encased in ice they stop functioning correctly and confuse your cars computer...
