Well I'm not sure if anyone on this site will have done it for the Fit yet, but I know that there are guys on Honda-Tech that have done it for the EG, EK, & DC models

Ben, download the service manual and check the wiring diagram for the folding mirrors, sure seems straight forward to me (or my electrical background figured it out).

Well the power folding JDM mirrors have 2 extra features that the US ones dont so im not surprised that it has 9 wires. It has the blinkers built into them and obviously the power folding feature on top of the mirrors themselves being able to adjust electrically which is the only common denominator between the US and JDM mirrors. Someone would need to obtain a JDM Fit's service manual to see all the electrical diagrams of all those 9 wires to see what each does.

Some of those are a given. You got at least 1 ground, maybe 2 for power since it has 2 power functions as opposed to the US's just 1. Then you have at least 1 wire splicing into the steering columns blinker switch for the mirror blinkers. The rest though are a bit of a mystery to me.

Do the power folding mirrors also have the heat/defrost option as well?

Ground, Up/Down/Left/Right, In/Out, LED. If there's no heater my guess would be separate grounds for the motors and LEDs. If one's thicker it's probably motor ground, otherwise guess white or black, especially if it's on one end of a row connector. You have US mirrors on hand, right? Measure resistances there to see what to expect (guessing they'll have the same trim motors), then check resistances between pairs on the JDM ones; the LEDs will look open (ie as if unconnected) to your multimeter.

Of course if someone wants to send me a set I'll work it out.

For some reason I can't find the info on the mirrors with LED lights.

Too bad you guys are in Vancouver, I'd show you a trick or two with wiring.

Or maybe I should say, too bad I'm not in Vancouver...

Ben, when I was leaving the shop today, I noticed that you had the mirrors installed. Didn't want to bother you asking if you'd got the wiring figured out (as you were eating your lunch ).

So...did you?

Hi Ben,
Thanks for all the parts fitment info ...

Anyways, if you have not got the wiring figured out yet, I ran across this at mobile's den. Don't know if this is what you were looking for ...

Yeah when i get my Fit this is one of the mods i'll be looking forward to. I might possibly try to do some engineering and wire it so it will tuck the mirrors when the alarm is armed and doors are locked (but not while driving), and untuck the mirrors when the alarm is unarmed and doors unlocked. Man I love doing wiring diagrams hahaha
