wheel question? tried search

seems like everyone always states I WILL be lowering the car, so waht will rub?

but

I really want to get the Drag DR-23 16x7

i will not be lowering the car, at least not in the anywhere near future lol. have 4 people in my car all the time and with chicago roads it just seems like lowering would be a headache

so with that being said will these wheels fit with no rubbing issues and will they fit the stock tires or will i need a diff size tire too?

i dont know the offset either, wheel noob here

Offset probably needs to be around 45mm but some have run 40mm with little to no rubbing. There are debates on tire size but closest to our stock diameter is 205/50/16. Hope that helps.

Well I only rubbed at highway speeds over bumps and on hard turns with a 2" drop and stock tires on 16X7 +40, so I'm sure you'd be fine a stock height with an offset of +40 and probably +35. If you get lower profiles, like 205/45 you'd be even better off.

thanks, i think the dr-23 is a 40 offset so on stock suspension and stock tires i should 80% sure be good and with 205 tires i would be even better

correct?

7 inch wide rims would fit better with a 195 less chance of rubbing aswell

ok they are 16x7 +40 and im going to run them with the stock 185/55-16 tires, stock ride height

will it rub? would a 15" be better with the 185 tires?

im so confused.....now thinking about it if i have more than 2 people in the car doesnt that pretty much act like lowering springs haha...is a minor rub that dangerous?

yeah you will be fine, I run on 17x7 40 offset drag wheels with 205/45 tires and I'm dropped on sportlines with no rubbing at all.

drag wheels are junk

IMO

if you're going to get knock-offs get Rotas....much better quality if that is possible for a cheap wheel

although personally if i were you i'd eliminate shipping and buy my wheels

for around the same price as drags/rotas/etc.
