Install: Swift Sport Mach on FIT with Weight-Loss-Plan

FIT went to a "weight loss program" (no spare tire, no rear seats and, no rear seat belts, lighter axle back exhaust and half the weight battery than stock).

Not so dramatic of a drop but significant. Kept my same daily driving style with no issue. Handling is better and the low to ground feel is noticeable. Ride is top notch with smooth tight controlled rebound without a hint of harsh.

*Sorry for crappy cellphone pictures but will post better ones on Nikon D60 when I get my WORK XD-9 17" wheels.

*FACE PALM SNAG* broke off wire on driver side sensor during install

That sames to fit in with the general impression everyone else has of these springs.... I put them on my car last winter because I got a good deal on some 2nd hand ones... If I hadn't I would still be on the stock springs due to past negative experiences with high end after market springs on a VW . For the type of driving I do the Swift Sport Mach springs are great.

Unfortunately, the weight loss will only decrease the drop and worsen the wheel gap. My car seems to be inching it's way back to stock wheel gap...at least in the rear.

The forward rake on a GD3 with Swift Sport Mach springs is more pronounced than on the GE models and I can see a difference in the hight of the rear of car after filling up the tank after running it low on fuel.... MrFroge on a different website has been successful winning his class in autocross competition in the past with stock springs and air shocks elevating the rear of his car much higher in relation to the front... I have air shocks also but with the Swift springs lowering the front as much as they do have no desire to elevate the rear of my car any more than it is.... I am interested in how my car will handle when I remove the rear seats... I don't autocross but do like to boogie hard on sweeping curves... I figure if there is a drastic change in the handling it will be fairly easy to restore the balance by cutting spacers from hard rubber matting to place on top of the front springs.... Being that there is a major loss of weight from the rear it is not the effects on the rear of the car that is of concern but the change in regards to the caster angle changing and effects that will have on the steering.
