New Fit owner, question about Weapon R intake manifold

Hey guys, just picked up my 08 5 speed fit last week (to replace my stolen evo), and it came with a few mods and a few extra parts not installed. One of these parts is a weapon-r intake manifold. Now of course, one of the welds is cracked along the flange where it connects to the throttle body. Now my question is, is it worth getting it rewelded and installing this thing? The other power mods that are on the car are a megan b-pipe and megan axleback along with a last station powerbox. Would I need to retune the car for these mods? Or Only if I add a header into the mix? Sorry if this has been covered before but I did a quick search and didnt really find the answers I was looking for.

Get that thing welded and enjoy it! You'll like. Just make sure you have a intake to go with it.

Yea I've got a last station powerbox to go with it. I guess they are really rare and I didn't even know it lol. Would I need to do any tuning after swapping the intake manifold? Or will it be ok with the stock header?

You can actually add every bolt-on you can find and not need a tune. It's not like a evo or a sti That you need a tune for anything you put on.

Well my old evo didn't need to be tuned either after every mod, but sti's yes. They like to blow up even after they are tuned lol. What kind of power gains am I looking at with the i/m, intake, and catback? Maybe 10 whp? Better gas mileage?

Noo not at all, I had every Bolt-on and made 117hp and 117tq @the wheels and the guy said I don't even need a tune. Only thing the the suggested was to raise timing but what ecu or piggy will do that. I wish the ask fic did

Well, a simple piggyback will add timing by reducing fuel... Or, used to as i don't know how a more modern ECU will behave! I don't know if a new car will behave like an old DSM, Civic or 1995-2002 Neon, but by substracting fuel with a S-AFC it added ignition advance because they are (were!?!) related in the ECU!! So a simple trick is to put bigger injectors and then, removing fuel with a piggyback!!

I agree a L15A1 doesn't have a lot of ignition advance... Mine used to get 17 Max degrees of advance but lately i only had 14... Maybe because of my Header, exhaust, intake, etc.... a R18 go as far as 23 - 24° with 87octane fuel......

Marko!!
