Question DC Sports CSB1319 Strut Bar

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone have a DC Sports Strut Bar (CSB1319) installed on their '08 FIT? I have one in my garage but it appears that the holes are off for the drivers side.

Have you tried to install it at all? Can you post pictures of how far off?

Are you lining it up with the right holes? With my Mugen bar, on the passenger side it bolted through the two holes that had the black sticky pieces covering them. On the drivers they went through one of those and the one The wiring harness was clipped into. Threw me off for a second when I installed mine.

The upper holes line up. I'll have to check the holes that the lower bolts go through.

Had no time this weekend. Had to work and the wife had to go out. So I had the pleasure of watching my daughter.

How many mounting points are there on the DC Sports? 2 on each side or 3?

sorry, been busy, and havent gotten a chance to take pix.

mounting wise, there's 2 on top of the strut, where the plastic cowl piece is, and 1 that go down on each side, so 6 bolts total.

I know the two upper bolts fit. The one going down on each side, the driver's side is not lined up properly.

Had problems with that one as well, Ended up unbolting the fuse box to make enough room to get at it straight on and that fixed the problem. Maybe you should try getting it on jack stands to maybe align the hole if it's that far off?

Sounds like a plan. Gotta wait for warmer weather. Where is the jack spot into the front so I can put jack stands under the car?

Behind the engine, rear of the centerline of the front wheels for the center jacking point.

I had to pull up on something just to fit my jack that far underneath the car from behind the front wheel.

You will see extra metal reinforcing the rocker panel where the jack points are behind each front wheel.

Ended up drilling out two holes to make it fit.
