Replacing Main Oil Seal from Chain Case, DIY?

Does anyone done this yourself before? There is some oil leaking behind the Crankshaft Pulley, seem like it is the oil seal leaking.

I did some research about the oil seal and the service manual said I will need to take the chain casing off the motor, remove the old seal and installa new one in.

Does anyone try to do it without taking the chain casing off ?
If it is a simple work I would like to do it myself with some help from friends however if it is too much trouble to take it out I rather go to dealership to get it fix.

Thanks
