So today while sitting waiting for my kid to get out of practice my dash went dark, no speedometer, no tachometer, no turn signal lights or anything. The only two lights on my dash are the ABS indicator and the Brake indicator, everything else is dark/not moving.

Has anyone seen this before? I checked the owners manual and it says that if the ABS light and brake light are on at the same time that the breaks need to be checked out at the dealership. But it doesn't say anything about why all the other lights and gauges aren't working.

So, any clues?

 

I'll just put this here in case anyone runs into this problem.

I took the Fit to Autozone, they checked the battery (which was fine). I had them hook up to the computer and see if it threw an error code, which it did: U0155. A google search on my phone led to this site: OBDII Code U0155 HONDA - FCAN Malfunction (Gauge Control Module-ECM/PCM) | Nissanhelp.com

So I did what it suggested and disconnected the negative cable for a minute then put it back on. I guess that reset the computer cause it fixed the problem.
