A little introduction

Hi everyone,

I am the proud new owner of a 2008 Honda Fit MT!! I don't have pictures yet, as I am picking up the car on Thursday, but I will definitely post some when I get him! I've been lurking around these forums for a few months dreaming of owning a fit, and now I have one! So happy!

The car is at my mom's place a few hours away, and I'll be driving a few hours to get home - I'm worried about the AC condenser issue with a long drive coming up. Are there any quick fixes I can do temporarily until I get home?

Glad to be a part of the community!

Kalie

Don't worry about it. There's just not enough protection against stones. The odds you will encounter a stone in ONE drive are very, very low. Don't tailgate.

I drove a CRV with the same issue for a year before putting a guard on. No worries. Still, because of the expense of the repair, and the INexpense of a guard that's homemade, worth doing in my book!

Thank you for the replies! Haha if I could have managed reversing all the way back, I would be incredibly impressed with myself.

I don't think I ran into any problems on my way back, but I'm definitely going to install a gutter guard in the grill area when I get some free time. My new Fit makes me want to learn how to fix my car on my own, and I want it to be protected from harm!

Anyway, once I figure out how to post a photo, I'll post the picture I took this morning.

Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum!

Host your photo on Photobucket, Facebook or some other site. Get the URL for your image and you can put it in between the [ IMG] and [ /IMG] tags to get it to display. (Remove the spaces I put in after the "[".)
