not too many aftermarket wheels out there with 50mm+ offset.
considering the factory wheels are like 16x6.5 ET53...

try to something no wider than 16x7 and ET as close to 53mm.

chances are, you're better off just running factory wheels and
get better tires... or at least get lowering springs before swapping
to aftermarket wheels. GL!

I'd definitely go for what the guy said before me, you just never know when that time comes when you want your car to be lowered, if I was to get a new wheels I would go for a coilovers before buying a set of wheels.

So changing to aftermarket wheels without lowering is a bad idea? I mean in terms of looks

yah, unless you can find narrow wheels with conservative offsets.

the stock ride height is rediculously high. it works fine with stock 16" wheels though. my 09 is stock height with its stock 16's. i like how it looks. my 12 is on Swifts, but even with 16x7 ET40 it's a tad bit of a wheel gap for me...but it's my dd and winter beater so it's fine.

16x7 50et with 50series tires. Will this work? In terms of performance and looks. Or would you rather not change the wheels if you wont lower it?

yah, 205/50/16 would be the choice of tire i would use but not sure if ET50 would rub the inner side of the wheel well.
might want to search that. if you use stock tire size or even 195/50/16, you're probably okay.

btw, check out the 16x6.5 and the 17x7 listed here. the wheel face is
FF type so the spokes will protrude past the lip on the decorative side.

but the wheel will not look like the pict above they show the R or RR face in that pict.

This is just what I'm planning, but I'd like to go with 17"x7" rims with 205/45/R17 size tires. The rims I'm looking at have a 42mm offset, which would push the centerline of the wheel 11mm toward the outside of the car. Also, the extra wheel width will push the outside edge of the tire out just a little more. I'd really like a more flush look than what the stock rims give.
Currently I'm not planning on lowering either, but if I ever do it would just be a mild drop with lowering springs.....probably Swift springs, which should still be fine from everything I've read.

ET42 17x7 will appear it's poking in the front especially not lowered, and no camber bolts.

I've looked at pics of several Fits running those size wheels and the flush fitment looked nice to me, but some of them may have been running camber bolts. The stock Fit sport wheels are just tucked too far into the fender wells for my taste.

yah, check the front tire from a side/rear angle with 17x7 ET42 stock height. thats the angle that continues to bothers me quite a bit.

if it doesnt to you then i think you're good to go..

IMO, aftermarket rims that look better than stock look better whether they are on a lowered car or not.

Isn't a higher offset better for cars that ARE lowered as they have a lesser chance of rubbing?

He isn't lowering the car so wouldn't he have more lower offset choices too choose from or is the consensus that the stock suspension is too soft and even without lowering, it will rub anyway?

I'm confused
