Downsizing Sport Wheels, will these fit?
Downsizing Sport Wheels, will these fit?
I just bought a used Fit that has aftermarket wheels on it; they are in bad shape and I'd like to replace them. OEM wheels are out as I am too paranoid to buy used wheels and new ones are way too expensive.
I'd like to get 15 inch wheels due to the potential higher sidewall of the tires (I think I live in pothole capital of Canada right now lol), and general availability of 15 inch rims in my price range.
The most appealing rims to me in both price and quality are the MSW Type 25 or 86 (same specs).
Dimensions are 6x15 with 42mm offset. Bolt pattern is 4x100.
According to willtheyfit.com these would stick out 11 mm on each side compared to the OEM Sport wheel.
I would be putting the base original size tire on these wheels, 175/65/R15
This is my first car and I want to make sure I won't mess up anything with these wheels. 11 mm seems inconsequential to me, but I don't know enough about wheels to say for certain. Please help, will these wheels fit?
Thanks so much for your help!!

11mm is no problem. My rims is sticking out by 17mm
It'll be better if you can go to a Rim shop to seek their professional opinion. They may even fit the set of rims you fancy onto your car to let you see if you like the look or not.
