New Fit in Arizona

Hi All,
I have been lurking awhile here and decided after my new 2017 EX I guess I have to say hi to all.

I'm very happy to buy a Honda as the name says it all.
Good quality, longevity, lots of room, reasonable weight and good price.

I bought my 2017 Honda Fit EX with the 6 speed transmission because I have plans on towing it behind my motorhome when travelling around the USA. Its weight is reasonable at 3,431 lbs. and well below my max of 5,000 lbs.

The funny thing is I was planning to buy the LX as they were plentiful with the 6 speed but my last local dealer had a EX and it was well worth the extra $$ for what I got. Nice Moon roof as well as the Push Button Start and keyless entry security. The larger screen and the right lane camera is interesting.

I have already asked many questions here and have received a great reception from many by helping me gain knowledge on my Fit.
I do not know if I can remember all the Official FIT LINGO but I will try.

Iggy in the cool part of Arizona.

Thank you Action Jackson.
I have travelled in the past few years to the Maritime Provence's as well as Ontario. In a few months we will be heading up for the Calgary Stampede with a bunch of RVers.I will be towing my GD3 behind my motorhome. That is why I got the 6 speed manual transmission.

Thanks,
Iggy

Welcome to the forums!

GD3 would mean you have the 1st generation Fit. Your pics and info state you have a 2017 Fit, which is the GK chassis code and 3rd generation, most recent Fit=)

Not sure if it really stands for anything to be honest haha. GD = 1st, GE = 2nd, GK = 3rd.

Oh so it really has to do with a model and where it was built for.
No biggie.
I still like 2017 Honda Fit EX USA

These letters refer to the chassis code which is part of your VIN number. That's where they come from.
