Hi all,

I have been lurking around FitFreak to learn as much as I can about the Fit before we make the purchase, no rush.

We are a family of 3 with another gift on the way + 2 small dogs. We plan on keeping this car for at least 10+ years, so this is a long term commitment. The kids are both small so they will be in rear facing baby seats. The important criterias in picking the Fit, order of importance: under 20K, reliability, interior space, comfort, MPG efficiency, maintenance expense, and ease of use around town.

I have read many threads about the Fit's weak AC. I am looking for opinions on experiences involving Arizona summer weather and Fit's AC. Please take into account rear passengers as this is our precious cargo. We plan on doing 20% tint all around, 2012 AT Sport model. Does the Fit provide enough cool comfort for rear passengers in the middle of AZ summer? Any recommendations on brand of tint and tinter?

BTW, I love how the Fits look cleanly modded.

It looks as if the Arizona Fit community is on the small side or just queit.

i have 2.5 % on all the windows behind the b pillar and the front doors are 5%. idk the brand. as far as the ac i have a girl who is 19 months old now in a forward facing seat and will be having another one next month that will be in a rear facing seat. the ac doesnt cool as well as i would like but our trips are usually not that long. i also turn the car on and let it air out with the windows down before i get in and start putting the family in.

 

Yeah I would say it takes quite awhile to get cold cold.
Owner of my fit was a family of five and said it was too small after all.
