is it just me or do the factory dunflops not work in SF when it rains?
anyone have suggestions for new tires?

factory tires suck period. lol

For the price, i usually recommend falken 512/912s. Besides the tire noise, I liked the Yokohama S Drives. Bridgestone re760s are really nice "all around" performance tire too.

My old car and my dad's car have 912's. Those aren't bad - esp for the price. I was going to try the S drives...but now im seeing Yokohama Avid ENVigor getting high reviews on tirerack. Decisions decisions...

really depends on what kind of driving you do. The S drives are a "ultra high performance summer" and the other is a high performance all-season, so each has there own pros and cons.

got it, thanks. i almost rear ended someone friday when the rains first started (i wasn't even tailgating!), and i don't think i've ever felt or heard my abs go off like that since i've tried driving on ice in tahoe.

Spotted a white ge on 43rd in outer sunset parked in front of my friend's place. Real clean and nice - just the way I would have made my ge if I had one! Btw. Go Giants!

Two nights ago, spotted a silver GD with a roof rack and JDM tails parked at starbucks in Laurel Village SF.

spotted what looked like a tidewater (was this color ) gd w/full jdm rear on 280 heading toward 19th AVE the other day
