Slimjim-
I forgot to answer your question about "is there any kind of overhang". I assume you are asking about shelter for people hanging around waiting for us to come back with a surprise rain shower?

The answer is yes- there are at least two giant pavilions with open walls, benches and tables underneath, about 40 ft. diameter (will hold all of us) and they each have a brick fire pit with a 2' X 5' grill suspended on chains that can be raised and lowered with a giant hand wheel. Everyone can cook at the same time, and if we use 4-5 bags of charcoal, people just hanging around can stay warm with the radiated heat. There is a flat parking lot big enough for 20-25 Fits right in front of the pavilion.

One of these is located just to the right of the park entrance- easy to find, easy to get out for the test drives. To be sure that we get this one, or any of the others, we need to reserve it with the park office. For that, we need to nail down a date for the event!! I will make the reservations, just need the date.

Dave

Ahhh! I dont know what to do.
I have 400$+ sitting in my pocket as i type this lol, i just want to order my springs and sway bar now because i really have no patience but i think i should wait for this meet before buying springs...Ive narrowed it down to either swift or progress, more towards progress because its more of a drop and bernard said the ride isnt bad at all. Plus i can do the springs and bar all in one cart off of progress direct. I thought about seeing what devoloped with the KGM situation but the more i thought about it the more i relized i wont the dropped look and the KGMs are stock height but stiffen in the turns. What do you guys think?
Happy Holidays guys, have a safe and fun one!

Thats how much I got in the bank now too. But I going to wait till Jan to order anything, don't want to lose a package during Christmas season as there are probably a lot of people shipping stuff. Don't know if I should get Mugen window visors before or after a tint or get one at all. So much stuff to get for the car but no money.

Have a Happy and Safe Holidays !

Yoo hoo,
KGM's are not stock height- front drop is 40mm (25mm to the inch), at least based on their web site when it was still up.

I'll show up like any other meet.

Just has to be a weekend.

Either way, I was mentioned by the cop that pulled me over for being near that other light blue fit... for 'crossing the double yellow lines' (BS, i was being damned careful, those roads are scary), that car clubs get request from the police department, and a formal letter is printed out, it is free, and it's fine. I think it's something similar to that of the funeral caravans, but for car clubs, not sure what the guy meant.

But a quick call to any local PD will answer these questions... just wondering if it's true, I'm sure it could be BS, but being careful with having a lot of cars is always a good measure.

Anyways, at the moment, I'm putting together a shopping list for my next project car, since I'm almost done with my Fit... just need speaker carpet and the two amplifiers and I'm done with the interior. and upgrade to the deck is optional, but I don't want to change it out. But springs and rims are going to be next after I have the amplifiers, and caps installed.

Then under the car sway bars (i think that's what they are called).

hope to try out the cars with my ability =D

As for date since no-one decided yet. I propose the first saturday of the new year, Jan 5 (assuming weather allows) because the holidays will be officially over, and that should give us enough time to recover from the New Year Bash. But I would lover to hear what everyone else would think.

Sounds good for me. But i was thinking more late in Jan becasue as some of you have noticed the forums have not been booming with activity latly because alot of people are with family, on vacation and all that fun stuff. So late january we can make sure everyone see's this thread who may be intrested in going. I talked to Ivan yesterday and he brought up a good point, we should pick two dates back to back so if the first one gets rained out we have the second one as a planned back up. What do you guys think?
Happy new year!

Yeah I figured as much. I really don't mind, just need to know the date before hand.

If you guys want me to set the date I will, but any date is OK with me. It's like throwing a dart at a calendar, blindfolded. I am interested, academically, in everybody's springs, but the only car I really want a ride in is Black Cobra's, with Swift springs (least amount of drop of any on the market). If our research group that is trying to contact KGM in Japan for a large spring order finds out that this will be impossible, I will choose Swift, depending upon the ride quality that I see at the meet.

Ciburri wants to post a rating chart for the benefit of all fitfreaks who are trying to decide what springs to buy, which is a very good purpose to be served with this meet.

So, instead of the least involved person (me) throwing the "date dart", I suggest that the rest of you start chiming in with the dates that work for you. We need to have Fits with all spring brands, and that is going to reduce the number of weekends that will work.

In order to have two consecutive weekends available in case of rain, please post your names with the weekends that you cannot attend the meet. With that info., I or anyone else can just pick two weekends. If the first one is clear weather, that's it. If it is predicted to rain, then it's the next one. This thread is too fat- please post names/unavailable dates on the new thread "Pick a Date for Ride Quality Meet".
Happy New Year!!!!!
