New Owner: looking for tint job

hi all, new member here

Just got a vivid blue pearl last week. it was auto sports.

I'm looking to tint my car. Anyone have referral to go to. i dont want to pay outrageous price. i called up california auto tint on story road in san jose and the dude wants $400 for all windows. random phone quote won't yield me good price.

looking to do 30% on passenger/rear and 55% in front.

anywhere in the san jose, santa clara, fremont area is fine

Window tint works in San Ramon. Kinda pricey but his work it worth it, plus 100$ lifetime warrenty.
He did all 3 of our cars.

I think KingTint is pretty good. There in San Bruno. I first tinted my subaru there and it was a great job. But, it took a hour or so, since they have so much business.

But with my fit, I used this come to your house tint guy and he did a okay job, but he did trap some dirt in the tints and some rough cuts. Not noticeable unless your looking for it, but I did like he comes to your house in the early Saturday morning while you still can sleep in. haha!

the shop i went too used a machine cut so it fits exactly and they did it in a clean shop so little to no dirt was trapped inside but dirt is everywhere and is super hard to avoid.

i had my windows tinted at Automall tint specialist in Fremont off Automall parkway, they charged me $300 for all 9 windows, they did a really good job and the guy that works there is really nice, you can probably talk to him and he might give you a lower price than mine.

got it done there today, still skeptical of the come out .

gotta wait 3 days too see all the moisture. i see a big moisture bubble in rear. but will most likely bring it back. kinda disappointed at the way he applied the tint. cutting tint right on top of my window. wiping my car on paint area when i requested the car not to be cleaned after the washing spray.

Tintwerks in Dublin will do it for a forum price of $270 for all but the windshield. He did a top notch job on my car.

Dublin is a bit far for me...which is why I picked up on the Vallejo location. I think I'll do a drive by and see what other cars they are doing are looking like.
So I just looked up the laws and found different answers. Of course CHP says no tinting is allowed on the front 3 windows except 4 inches on the top of the windshield. But another website said 70% of light penetration is permissable.
hmmmmm......
I dont want tickets, but I hate how it looks with only the back windows done.
choices...choices.

I know im bumping an old thread, but just wanted to provide some information.

I recently tinted my windows at Computerized Tinting in San Jose.
Great group of guys and the price was competitive. I went with the Llumar CTX 30% rear 40% front. I think it turned out great! The price was 400 OTD.

Jesus those prices are up there....

....BESTIMAGE Tint in San Mateo can do tint between $140-$150. The Mazda guys I know have been using them and my current MS3 has tint from them. Going on about 5 yrs now, no bubbling or issues after DD + cross country road trips in all types of weather conditions.
