Anyone in the area get their windows tinted? If so how much, what percentage for the windows and where?

 

i live in frisco and i'm about to get my taffeta white tinted 35% all around

 

I got mine done in Hayward at Auto Creations w/Solar Guard titanium. Lifetime warranty 22% on the back 5 for $150. Later on I might do the front sides w/33% for another $50 but technically it's illegal.

It looks good and I don't have to worry about getting a cargo cover. Most other places I checked w/good quality tint wanted about $220. But I highly recommend doing it, looks awesome on the car.

I have tinted all 9 windows with Sun Tek HP film. 20% for 5 rear, and 50% for 4 front. It costs $280 at Auto Mall Tint Factory in Freemont

I do want to tint the fronts too but I wonder if the cops actually do pull you over for the tint in the front.

 

My tint guys said that side window tinting laws are not generally enforced but it is illegal so there's a possibility of the fix it ticket which means you then have to pull off the tint. Regardless, they said 75% of their customers will do it but even on their own cars they kept it above 33%.

Limo tint in the back might be kinda dark at night. I can't see in w/my 22% in the day but it's just fine at night, no headlights will blind me. There's also a little darker 15% I think and then limo goes to 5. Limo will also cost you more. Something to keep in mind.

 

i am also thinking about tinting my windows next week. i am going to see the guy who had tinted my WRX, Evo and Mini. he did a great job, no complaints, i think he charge about $200 for a car, but if we have two cars same day, we can get it down to $175 - $150, i think, pm if anyone in bay area also interested.
