Hey,
So, I've never had my windows tinted, but I've seen percentages mentioned. Anyone willing to give a quick rundown to a Fit (2wks old) and tint (never) n00b?

Also, anyone know a good tint place in L.A.? I'm in Santa Monica, but for a GOOD place in the area, I'd travel. I mean, I'd get to drive my new Fit, right?

The lower the % the darker it get. so in this state of our are we are allow to tint are windows from back of the driver windows as dark as you want and the front can be darker but not too dark so like 30 and up. I would recommend go 10 to 15 in the back and 30 to 35 in the front to stay safe from getting a ticket.

OK, so my next question, 3M, LLumar, HuperOptik? How do you choose which film?

 

Dont even go 3M b/c after a while it change colors and if you want the best film go with Madico it a lil more for madico but it worth it and then there Johnsons which I have on my Fit.

 

yeh i have johnsons. i wouldnt pay more then $150 for tint. anything after that is bull. mine wasnt even a hook up. but i would go 20 in the front and 5 in the back..
