Xtra splash guards for you base owners

I bought an extra set of splash guards for the base model and wanted to know if anyone wanted to buy them (at cost) before I return them. $67 for the 4. PM if you are interested. I live in Oakland.

just bought mine last night from vacaville honda. there were like twenty people who wanted it and i was the lucky winner! a mini meet would be cool with the people who have them bringing their cars and others coming to check it out. i just can't believe how fast these cars are going. it's so awesome that people are getting more into smaller cars!

Hey,
I'm also looking for a white sport AT with the beige interior,
I put a deposit down on one last April 15th and have just been given a build date of June 10th, so looking at July I guess. I checked with Dublin Honda and was not impressed with their business, telling me they were sold out of 2006 stock on a "Civic Fit" !

FYI, any vehicle with dealer options added if you want the vehicle but don't want the options just tell them to take them off. They can't force you to buy them and if I remember correctly they can't stop you from buying the car either. If you don't want them, simply tell them to take them off. They will most likely put them back on the next one to roll onto the lot and try to sell them again. I doubt I'd know any of the folks at San Leandro Honda anymore as it's been years but they were good people when I worked out there. Yeah, even though these cars are hot, any dealer selling them over MSRP is just holding them ransom. Here's another option, find a dealer that has one on his lot that's the model you want, be prepared to put a deposit on it, tell them you want it in another color, they can take that car, with a deposit, and trade it to another dealer for the color you want. It's faster than having one built if they can find it in the area, they'll simply truck it over and switch inventory. I did that to a jackass dealer a few years ago who was trying to screw me over, I drove down to the dealer in the next town over and said "this is the exact truck I want, this dealer has one, get it" 3 days later I had my truck.

I got my Taffeta White base Fit MT through Howie (Buttahball on this forum) at Gilroy Honda today & had a very good experience-- good guy.

Now for a meeting time & place for our first BARFO (Bay Area Region Fit Owners) meeting-- we can go with Hatchgeek's choice, until we finalize the name at a gathering.

Saturdays may be best, and I think at a park or public place parking lot would work, probably mid-way on the peninsula (or Hayward/Fremont side) to not make it too far for anyone to travel. Who wants to suggest a date & place?

THX BILL

I really appreciate your business if I couldn't done more for you, I would have.

Just let me know if there is anything else that you need.

I want a FIT SO BAD lol

I'm seriously getting desperate for a fit...I really got to
get mines soon.

That way I can attend fit meet ups...bah

And one of the places I would suggest is at my dealership, but...unfortunately...I work weekends

as far as fits going for MSRP....I will honor that price...
just as long as you call me in advanced or contact me in advance so I know what's coming in and you can decide
if you dont want anything extra added onto it.

Dublin Honda had a white one? Was it already spoken for? They told me and a couple of others that they were sold out for 2006.

yes they do know what they have coming, if someone told you that, that means the sales person is clueless. Call and ask/talk to another sales person...as far as white sport M/T's...they won't be getting in for a reallllllllllllllllllllly long time...unless they do some kind of dealer trade or something, then you might get lucky.

They have a lot of auto's coming in...both base and sports as well
as gilroy honda.

Is there a public parking lot at the Fremont end of the canyon to meet at? We could then drive up to Sunol for lunch-- pick a day & we'll see if folks can make it.

i'm sure there's no shortage of parking lots, but depending on how many cars/people we're going to have, we should plan according to size. who's in?

I'm in, when would we meet? Another nice drive is to and from Stinson Beach and having a picnic/bbq at the beach park. I think that drive is just as fun, but more scenic.

Okay, I'm feeling pro-active. If we were to have a meet, how many people would be in?

Ideas are:
Niles Canyon (Fremont/Pleasanton area) - not a lot of turns but a beautiful drive
Highway 9/Skyline (South Bay/Saratoga up to Palo Alto/down to Santa Cruz) - twisty and beautiful, but with quite a lot of weekend traffic.
Stinson Beach (Marin/San Rafael area) - twisty and (of course) there's the beach to hang out at
Mount Tam (same area as Stinson) - twisty, beautiful view of the city and the bay, and it could be done along with Stinson Beach

Any others? I've only lived in the bay for about nine months (Sonoma County resident before that) so if anyone has good places to go, post them.

As far as time goes, how does July 22nd or 29th sound? Two and three weeks away.

Let's see how many people want to go. How many have their Fits?

Let's call it the 29th (so forget my other thread proposal) but where?

Stacey, can you choose one of your ideas & prpose a time & place to meet on Sat 7/29?

Hoping we can pull this off!

Well, since we have two (3 including me) San Jose people saying they want to go, how does highway 9 sound? Or Niles? I can't decide!
