highway 9 sounds good

 

highway 9 it is! so Saturday the 29th on highway 9. lunch? maybe meet around eleven, drive around, go to alice's?

 

yesss-- 7/29 @ 11am, drive around then lunch @ Alice's. Where on Hwy 9 do you want to start from at 11?

 

When I go we normally start in Saratoga on De Anza Blvd. Then you can go through the little city. We could meet at the Safeway on De Anza.

 

How many people are in? Looks like Bill L, Buttahball and myself are the only ones who have said.

p.s., Bill L, sorry, I wasn't trying to change the date that you had already set. I didn't realize that you had made another posting for a get together. I would love to do Niles sometime too!

 

To get more attendees, one "publicity" idea would be to post the event details in the "Fit Talk" section this weekend-- the mods will move it, but more potential drivers will see it there before they do, since many folks don't visit this regional club section often.

Regardless, the three of us can meet anyway-- WHERE on Hwy 9 at 11 am on Sat 7/29?

 

How about meeting at the Safeway in Saratoga, since it has a big parking lot and it's easy to find? It's on... Sunnyvale/Saratoga I think. The street that changes from De Anza.

 

Great! We'll meet Sat 7/29 at 11 am at the Safeway near the combination intersection of:

1) Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road --named De Anza further north as Stacey mentioned;
2) Saratoga Ave;
3) Los Gatos-Saratoga Road (Hwy 9 "east" of the intersection); and
4) Big Basin Way (Hwy 9 "west" of the intersection-- the direction I assume we'll go up into the Santa Cruz Mountains).

Can't wait-- hope Buttahball (Howie) is still following this thread, and that a few more folks will join us, too. In addition to those of us with Fits to compare & "talk Fit", I think it would also be a good chance for those waiting for their Fits to see ours in person and "get in on the ground floor" prior to delivery.

(I've modified the other thread's proposal to fit this new info, so as to not confuse anyone.)

i got a few friends with s2000, evo, mustang, and f-body that will come along as well.

 

I think I can make it on the 29th. The big Subaru meet is at Mt. Hamilton on the 23rd if anyone wants to check it out. I dont trust driving my Suby that far unfortunatly...

 

Anyone know where to buy a Fit at this point in time? I tried searching around for the CAR, not the price. But what should I be paying for a Storm Silver Fit Sport AT? Just the regular stuff that is already on there from factory. Berkley has one, but not sure in color. Anyone else know for SURE they have the car on the lot, and not spoken for? Hope to see some of you guys out at the meets soon!

Berkley Honda called me back this morning. They want 20,000+!! crazy price.

 

So I'm thinking Alice's is gonna be packed on Friday. There's a big parking lot at House of Falafel on Steven's Creek. Any other ideas of where to eat in Cupertino, Saratoga, etc?

 

That's absurd. Tell them to go blow a donkey.

 

We can figure out a place "on the spur of the moment" Saturday if Alice's turns out to be too crowded-- maybe even down the Hwy 84 hill in Woodside or Redwood City, etc-- I don't think it'll be a problem.

 

San Leandro told me at least 5months til the next open slot for a Fit is at their dealership. how great.

Talked to them. None in stock..for a couple weeks. Their mark up is ONLY $3000 according to someone from there.

I called like 15 dealerships. None expect Vacaville have one(Storm Silver Base) for $16,000+

 

I found a available Fit! It's in vacaville.
