Good auto shops in the bay area?

Hey folks, not sure if much people check this part of the forums but i'll just start typing ;]

Does anyone know of a good auto shop to install a set of coil overs and to get an alignment done? So far all the places that i been looking at are asking for $200+ just on the coil overs alone, not sure if this is the "typical" price for the install.

Im in SF and i think the farthest i'll go is SJ....maybe

Hey there!

We actually have a very active Bay Area Community. We have a FaceBook group called HellaFit

We do some occasional tech days and installs among ourselves, I've forgotten how many times I have pulled suspension off my own GD LOL

Do you need it all done same day? Do you want to pay a shop? What is your budget? Need to do it on a weekend? If you got a quote of $200 for an install AND and alignment from a shop that is NOT bad!

Yeah i have seen some of your posts and what not, i would like it to be done the same day as work and school takes up my whole week.

I dont have a budget per say but im more leaning on getting it done at an auto shop and the $200+ was for the install only, no alignment included :[

hmm. Well, to try and keep the costs low, you could meet up with us the next time we are free, do the install, and then get an alignment (Firestone life time is like $169)

OR

I can recommend 2-3 shops. Shoot me a PM for direct info

Have you asked The Shop in san bruno? I know they recently got a new alignment rack build for lowered cars.

Auto Innovations in Milpitas. I've had all my suspension work done by them for my previous cars (S2000, Civic Hatch and Coupe). Good guys and work.
