What time is every body going to show up for the meet?

 

I plan to be there at about 10:30 along with a friend. We will claim two picnic sites. If only one site is needed, we'll leave the other one vacant. In my visit a few days ago I got there at 11:00 and the place was starting to fill up (though not crowded). There have been a LOT of views of this thread, so who knows how many will actually show up unannounced.

The rest of you can come at your own schedule- early or late doesn't matter.

This is going to be real fun.

I will be getting the buns, and making the BBQ setup. But i need someone with a BBQ kit to bring some brushes/scrapers to clean off the onsite grills. Then we can really cook some stuff.

 

I will not be there the new location is over 2 hours away from Sacramento and I still have to be at my yearly DC5 meet that night in Sac.

The weather on 6/16 will be GREAT! (according to satellite TV weather reports). San Jose has been in the mid-90's for the last few days, but on Sat. it is supposed to drop to 75 degrees, partly cloudy. San Luis may be a little warmer, but not much. See you there!

 

I have family coming in from out of town, so I won't be there, but hopefully next time. .

 

what would every body like me to bring to eat or drink for example cookies, brownies, sodas or waters anythnig like that let me know for tomarow.

Here is my suggestion, but anyone else can add to this---

CuTeBoi obviously is bringing charcoal, burgers & buns, Black Widow is bringing cookies (at last post), and in case CuTeBoi doesn't make it because of early baby delivery, auto accident or whatever, I will bring giant polish sausages, buns, condiments, cold watermelon, potato salad, and Snapple.

The turnout will probably be small, so if you bring some soda, that should probably be more than enough food. Weather report has changed again, and it will be in the high 80's at last check.

Drive carefully!

I'm sorry I couldn't be there. I asked a friend of mine who posts here via AIM (my internet at my house was down... but i have AIM on my phone) to post that i wouldn't make it. My father has been having issues with his heart again. He was admitted into the hospital about 4 days ago, and my mother called me to tell me on Thursday. I have spent time with him in the hospital, but I knew you guys would understand. I am very sorry I wasn't there or that I couldn't make contact.

All is well with internet connection now, and dad should be out of the hospital soon.

I hope we can set up another meet so we all can make it. I think I will go do some searching since now I'm out of a job. Drama!

 

It was fun yesterday =o

i got my deserved 12 hours of sleep last night.... struggled to stay up. and my drive home was long...

yesterday was awkward, forgot the lighter to light the fire, forgot memory card for the camera, girlfriend/wifey decided to stay home cause she was feeling.. strange. and meh.

other than that, we had a big fire... hope the burgers were fine =o

I hope all is well with your father very understandable why you did not come. I guess when it rains it poors sorry to hear about your job situation as well. The meet was fun, it was nice to see other people that had fits and to see what other people are doing with their cars. I hope to make it to the next meet and see more fits in the future.

 

My best wishes for your Dad also, and hoping that a better job just falls on you. I'm sure that if/when another Fit meet is organized up here, your own situation will have improved (by a lot).

It appears that interested parties are so spread out around the inland and Bay areas, there is NO really convenient place to meet for everybody, so another meet will probably be for the few who have the time for a long drive.

Is there any point in posting our phtos from this picnic? Meetings don't seem to be very important to Sacto/Bay Area/Central Valley sub-forums, and since we were all there anyway, do you want me to post my photos (most not real good ones)?
