did u do the test i mentioned to check if it is bad? play in the wheel is usually the bearing or the tie rod.. n i doubt ur tie rod is bad..

if its just a bearing... bernardi honda has it listed for ~$50... and the hub for ~$100... dont pay more then ~$75 for a new bearing...

if kissa's dad has the proper tools im sure the hub is still use-able.. u have to grind off the inner bearing thing... cuz they tend to become stuck to the hub itself while the rest of the bearing comes off...

 

i haven't had a chance to try the 12/2 shake-test yet, i'll probably do that before or after VENT's cabinet meeting tonight. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for zero play.

i've replaced the hub on carlo's ef hatch before, simple job. but this will be my first wheel bearing replacement and i'm not quite sure how to do it. i've been reading up on it and people are saying that i need to take the hub somewhere to have the bearings pressed out.. once i get the hub off it'll start to make sense.

BTW, i'm 80% sure i could help out on saturday. i can swing by after i change my oil

well if u cant find a press to do that... i took mine to a local tire shop get it pressed in.. $50... took about 30 min... im sure it wouldnt be much more then that... at most another 15 min.. so $75ish? (at $100/hr labor pricing...)
