in most GT racing series, FR/MR/RR cars compete against each other regularly. i thought i'd start up a worthwhile conversation where everyone can teach/learn the advantages and disadvantages of real sports cars instead FWD bashing and calling each other ghey LoL

i don't know if F1 counts given all the strict regulations they've got to follow .. this season, they might as well produce the cars for each team then have them race -- i believe in leveling the playing field but c'mon

or... how about we each put a condom on our head then see who can inflate it the biggest before it pops?

did you even look at my links..? you own an mr2, so did i... n ur prob a rwd purist, but if there were no advantages at all to fwd compared to rwd, then every motorsport would only have rwd...
even look at the 2wd rally.. a srt4 is in the lead with times... and theres several rwd cars competing... in the speed challenge, acura and bmw are the main manufacturers and they're pretty competitive with each other, bmw being one of the ONLY rwd manufacturers worth noting... mazdas main car in that series is the mazda 6, a fwd... why not the rx8? which is probably better suited for the series...
im not saying fwd is better... im just saying fwd CAN compete against rwd in a race series (not all)...
im biased... MR!!!! snap oversteer ftw!!! (lol jk)
well thats where the f1 R&D comes in.. then everyone copies each other.. so its not really much of a R&D department comparison.. so eh... ur right.. LOL
F&F FAIL!! woooooooooo!

im just saying there are times FWD can be as fast as RWD... mostly at lower hp... i know you cant put high hp down in fwd, and thats why all the supercars/f1/nascar/etc are rwd...
im just defending something that most people seem not to get... that there ARE FWD race cars... and they compete against RWD cars...

Autocar UK also complained on both the Mk1 and Mk2 Clio V6es that the steering was pretty numb...they just couldn't "catch" the rear end slipping away
