Help w/ Sub and Amp

Hey guys I just got a sub and amp and was wondering if anyone wanted to help hook it up for me for some small cash. I will pay $20(sorry im really broke) and I need to buy an RCA cable and Amp Kit.

If you can help me hook this up cause I have no clue how to I would be really thankful. I'm located by Northridge but willing to drive out as far as OC to get help.

I know this is short notice but I'm free tomorrow, Tuesday 10/20/09 only so I'm trying to see if anyone would like to help out! It's worth a try to ask you guys.

I have an aftermarket headunit with 2 channel amp.

i can help but you'll need to get the RCA and power cables. i dont know how to get the RCA cables in since i'm using line-in connections and tapped the rear speakers but i can help with the power cable, ground, and setting up the amp. ooh i forgot you'll prolly need to find where to tap the wires for the remote power too.

honestly it's not too hard but REALLY time consuming.

Ok I understood about half of what you said haha sorry.. Well I was told since I have an AVN headunit the RCA plugs right in. Unless your talking about tucking them? If you think you can do it completely and are free tomorrow and are okay with $20 then let me know.

I was hoping the person can go with me to get the necessary cables cause i don't know what to buy or use.

i'd refer you to a local shop to get the install done, but i see that you're offering $20. the shop might charge $20-80 depending on what needs to be done.

Which shop? I'm more than willing to get quotes for a good price. I was going to call a few shops and get some quotes if no one can help me out on here.

I called best buy today, its $69.99 for a 2 channel amp + $40 for amp kit
and they want 99.99 for a 4channel amp + kit

im jus trying to save money cause i really dont have any cash to just shell out. and i kno this job is real easy its jus a matter of experience and knowledge. also for the RCA yea just take out the head unit and plug it directly it, plug and play i have the ports for RCA

i did the wiring into the stock head unit, just to let you know u might need a step down converter, and the wires are super short so you would have a hard time. My wires were loose after a month of driving around so i was just like Eff it, i went to crazy stereo up in fountain valley and got them to do it. they redid all my wiring and spacers for my speakers for 80$. they even drilled down my amp and velcro my sub

facepalm.... this is such an easy thing to do. if i lived in socal i would do this for you for free. i would suggest you read up on how to install it.

it's like this:

power wire from the battery
ground wire from a bolt any where on the frame (as long as it's within 3')
signal (RCA) cables from the headunit
remote wire from the head unit

plug into amp

two (one positive and one negative) wires to the woofer speaker
